I don't know about you guys but I've struggled to find some tutorials on here, now that they're mounting up :) So I'm going to post links to them on the right of this area, at the top so as you should be able to find what you want quickly and easily.
There are some tutorials I'd forgotten I'd done !

ReplyDeleteI'm not 100% that I'm thinking of the same scenario but there was some Wedding Stationery on a board that had been created using fonts off my computer and two shapes from the freebie library? A majority of the letters were cut from gold mirriboard with the exception of the Place Cards, they were done using the Gold Sketch Pen. There were inserts that were typed up in Serif. The sort of thing that would detail names, times dates etc. There's a Tutorial on Text Panels you can download to help you along. You'd need to open a project in Serif, just a plain page and you'd type up the details in the colour that you want, I chose a golden brown kind of colour, and then there's the option to export the project from Serif. You will need to save it as a jpeg in a high resolution such as 300 dpi.
ReplyDeleteHopefully that will help but give me a shout if it doesn't

Hi Haley
DeleteLove your shows and always record them but have not seen you show how to download/import (whichever) from Serif to the Silhouette in detail, so that the silhouette cuts out your own design for you.
Can you please tell us how to do that.
I love my Cameo and Serif products and it would be great to get them working together please.
Thank you
B.
Hi Hayley, I was looking at the shop that comes with the studio software and I was wondering how much does it cost for a 99c cutting file, and do you incur any hidden charges when using a normal debit card. As I live in the United Kingdom and they are american. Any help would be apreciated, Thankyou, Emma
ReplyDeleteHi Emma, Your bank may well charge you a conversion fee and it will also depend on the exchange rate as to what you end up paying.
DeleteYou'd be best to buy a download card, in sterling, then you know exactly what you're paying. We sell the download cards..

You can also go onto the silhouette site and buy a subscription . This is what I did , I pay a monthly amount of around £6 and for that I get $25 in download credits each month. Its really easy to set up and the payment is taken on the same day each month from my debit card. This is much better value than buying downloads for 99c and there are 1000's of files to choose from. DeleteThank you Dianne, I've often wondered how much the subscriptions equated to :)
