Thanks once again Hayley. Why am I so afraid of 'print and cut'? Likely because I have never tried it, so today's the day I resolve to give it a go. This will be so useful if I can master it. Thanks also to the kind person who left info earlier on where to get the 'cat in a flap' digi. Now all I have to do is learn where to download to so that I can use it!!! Am I a duffer or what. It's like being back at school.(but I love it). Maureen
haha Maureen, we've all been 'Duffers' at some point :) It's all about confidence and yours will grow, but you have to give it a go in the first place :)) x
Yay! I've done it. Can you help with cut settings. They are in US paper weights which are so different to UKgsm. I use a lot of coredinations card and wonder if you have a list of custom settings - and how do I do it:-). Should this have been a question for the paper clinic???
You're more than welcome to post questions here :)I don't have any settings for C-Ordinations but have seen it in the studio. I would guestimate that you'd use the Heavy Cardstock Settings with a blade depth of 5.Settings do vary from machine to machine. I very rarely alter the numbers in the settings, I tend to choose the closest description to the paper/card I'm using and alter the blade depth. Your question has popped up in the Paper Clinic questions so I'll probably be covering this on the 14th May in more detail :)
Good Afternoon Hayley,Well my machine arrived this afternoon, I tried to sit on my hands but it was no good as l just had to upgrade my machine. I have been a CraftRobo user and been more than happy with it.Now then a few points, Firstly the support l got from emailing the Support desk at Silhouette well a reply was in my email box within 20 minutes. That other Die Cutting American seller well their shortest time was 3 days!Silhouette sorted out my problem with simple easy to understand instructions.I then after unpacking and switching on sent a fancy scrolled image l had.It was on Co-Ordinations and the cutting blade was at 3 I went with what was recommended by the software. It was a great cut. There were no snags or missed areas. Even the very thin parts of the design were cut out. The only problem l had was the plastic carrier sheet as it was so sticky being new lolVery IMPRESSED and a HAPPY CRAFTER AGAIN!
Ooooh I'm glad you went for it Alan, you won't be disappointed and I know with your talent you'll be creating amazing things in no time at all !I know what you mean about the mats :) A top tip for removing your die cuts. Rather than peeling them away from the mat, flip the mat over and peel it away from the die cuts, that way you should find that your elements don't end up all curly lolHave fun and I can't wait to see what you create.Hayley
Hi Hayley - using the spatula type gadget is great for getting the die cuts off straight and without problems. Glad to hear Alan is enjoying the Cameo so much... I think the appreciation of the machine is global and PC should be worrying about now!!!Paula x x x
dear Hayley,I know this isnt the right place to ask a question but I dont know where to go,I have looked at all your tutorials but I cant find one on how to use any cd with my cameo,I heard you say on create and craft that you could do that, I have a few crafters companion and would love to use the 3d builder,I look forward with interest to your reply, thank you love Dorothy
Here you go Dorothy, this is the one you'll need ....http://hayley-west.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/silhouette-tutorial-sheets.html
Hi Hayley I did exactly this a while ago because I needed some text in an oval - and I had to have the oval to specific measurements - which of course you can do. It needed to fit into a Spellbinder Beaded oval - and of course, none of the Spellbinders plain ovals do fit (Cameo to the rescue). It turned out perfect - and I did use Serif CA too... just glad to read in the download that's exactly what you do - a great confirmation for me really. Thanks for being so generous with your precious time in bringing these tutorials and other information/files to us.Big hugsPaula x x x
Hi Hayley - I love the look of this design - but unfortunately it is saying that the file is no longer available. Is it possible for you let the file be available again?Thank you
All refreshed and ready to download :)
